Kairos Palestine to Raise Awareness on Jerusalem, Marking the Easter
BETHLEHEM, March 25, 2014 (WAFA) - Kairos Palestine is currently preparing an Easter Alert, in order to bring awareness about the deteriorating situation in Jerusalem and to encourage churches, parishes, lay-persons and clergy all around the world to remember this season that marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The idea is to focus on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday on a different issue, highlighting the deep impact of the Israeli occupation on all levels of life in Jerusalem.
This year, Kairos Palestine focuses on different subject such as the revocation of residency rights in East-Jerusalem, home demolition in East-Jerusalem, the reality of education in occupied Jerusalem (private schools and public schools) and the call for resurrection: Access to worship.
Kairos Palestine combines statistics and facts on the ground with theological reflections, interviews and case studies.
In this matter, Kairos Palestine cooperates with the following esteemed Palestinian Human Rights Organizations: The Society of St. Yves, the Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Jerusalem and Land Research Center - Arab Studies Society.
